I always used to hate this question. This always feels like a trick question during an interview or when you answer this in your cover letter, and you obviously can’t say “because I want the great salary.” I’ve come up with a few tricks myself when it comes to answering this question.
Firstly, researching the company is really helpful, and you can say things like “the company’s values are like my own” and things like that, as one of the articles say. It’s an awkward question to answer, but I’ve been able to find success with these tricks.
